The Natural Reserve of the “Mouth of the River Platani” is in the province of Agrigento, and is located approximately 6 km away from the “Camping Village Kamemi”. The Platani River is among the most important rivers of Sicily, and at “Capo Bianco” flows into the sea, creating a natural oasis of charm, made even more important by the presence of the white cliffs of limestone marl. On top of the rise, it stood the ancient city of Eraclea Minoa, now the Archaeological Park.

Many of the colors that characterize the area: the lush green of the Mediterranean stain near the mouth, the blue sea, the blue sky and the white of the cliff, and this spell of shades, walking the nature trails, you can encounter turtles that come here to lay their eggs, peregrine falcons and other migratory birds like the avocet, which make the area perfect for bird watchers.
The area has become a nature reserve since 1984 and is managed by the Regional Department of Forestry Authority.
