Scala dei Turchi

The “Scala dei Turchi” is one of the main attractions of the province of Agrigento, is 30 km away from Kamemi Village. It is located precisely in Realmonte, a few kilometers from the capital Agrigento.

During a holiday in Sicily it is a must visit as it is very important from a landscape point of view: it is a real natural and giant scale consisting of white marl that descends into the crystal blue sea, creating almost a point of contact with the sky and contrasts impressive color. Its name comes from the legend that wants landing of the Moors (mistakenly called Turks) that in the ‘500, through this “scale”, invaded Realmonte and the surrounding territory.
